IF YOU WANT TO BE CODDLED AND LIED TO GO TO A LIBERAL WEBSITE..
"We use comedy for serious subjects, don't think that we are not serious about the issues"
It's pretty heady stuff now that we have a man coming to the White House who has promised to set things right. Drain the swamp and git it on. My brother who works at one of those progressive PC companies is aghast, while I'm smiling smugly. We don't talk politics when we get together. I just drawl, "Hey there, what's you up to with all your coding and SEO stuff? " My brother, being the earnest wonk that he is will get into telling me all the newest stuff he's doing with the gurus at TNG Earthling, who are teaching him some of their technical magic to get sites to rank well in Google. At Thanksgiving, following the election he spent most of dinner describing his conversations with CEO Bob Sakayama who he sees as a kind of high tech role model. Everyone at the table was so curious, asking questions to deflect the elephant in the room. So I sat through the feast learning how Google's algorithm changes frequently, how they penalize sites that don't adhere to their rules, how content is less important than links, how reputation management firms abuse the search, etc. My eyes glazed over, while my brother talked on and his food got cold on his plate. Fortunately the cat and dog got into some hissy fits and started running under and around the table. Suddenly, the conversation switched to commands being issued to stop the chaos. It was enough to break the spell and we all returned to eating, once the animals were sent outdoors. How was your Thanksgiving? Did everyone show?

NEWS FOR THE AVERAGE JOE
Ya know, I might not be the brightest bulb in the room, but I do know right from wrong and good from bad, and in most cases now, when I'm being lied to and being had. And, brother, have we ever been had by the Congress and Senate—both sides of the aisle.
Butch's one man study report for winning the war on terror is due out tomorrow, unlike the Baker report which took months and millions of tax payers dollars, Butch's report was completed in a day at the cost 0 dollars for the tax payer, under Butch's plan losing is not an option, the plan will save lives down the road unlike the Baker/Hamilton plan that will cost thousands of lives around the world. The sad fact is these morons are some of the reasons we have terrorist today.
watch for Butch's plan 12/07/06
Tolerating evil is a crime. Appeasing murderers doesn't buy protection. It earns one disrespect and loathing in the enemy's eyes. Yet apathy is the weapon by which the West is committing suicide. Political correctness forms the shackles around our ankles, by which Islamists are leading us to our demise.
2007 NEWS
ILLEGAL MEKKIN PAGE
Your favorite local Mexican restaurants are not just serving tacos and hiring illegals, it now comes to light that some Mexican restaurants are actually buying homes and renting them to illegals. Not to just 1 or 2 illegals — it can be as many as 10–20 in one home. The number one rule in these homes is they cannot hang around outside...
Seems as though this has turned into a pretty lucrative business for some, especially since you can stack that many folks in a home to collect a minimum of $100.00 a month per person. If this is happening in one neighborhood, it's happening in hundreds if not thousands across the country...
As a friend of mine in Fort Worth, Texas pointed out to me, several houses in their neighborhood had been bought by Pulidos Mexican Restaurant, who has Mexican restaurants throughout the North Texas area. Just imagine waking up one morning and there are illegals walking up and down your street. Imagine a house next to you with 10–20 folks crowded into it. Imagine what this does to your property value, much less what happens to your neighborhood...
It now seems that cities across the country have good reason to pass ordinances against this practice if they would like to save neighborhoods from the things that follow this phenomenon, such as crime, gangs, and lower property values...
So maybe next time you walk into your local Mexican restaurant you should think about what you are helping to support. Maybe ask the owner about his employees — do they speak English, where do they live, are they illegal, and do they supply housing for these folks...
Otherwise you could find one of these houses in your neighborhood soon.
It's every bit as bad as filling up with gas from the Middle East...
As for me, I now make my own fajitas, tacos, and mow my own yard. In all respect, it's healthier for me...
Just Look at These Numbers
Cities report as much as 65% dropout rates as schools fail to educate millions of young Americans. Well, guess what jobs those young Americans will hold and compete for? You guessed it — the jobs the illegals are getting and driving down the wages in those industries. Even worse, a huge portion of those dropouts are Hispanic. "You talking about shooting yourself in the foot" — American companies are part of the problem and Americans are waking up to it fast...
An even worse realization has been exposed — the fix is in by big business with the help of willing politicians on both sides of the aisle. They are salivating at the thought of hiring low-wage illegals into the workforce, driving down wages for thousands of American workers. We've already told you about meatpacking jobs that paid as much as $19.00 an hour that now pay $9.00, thanks to illegal workers. Tyson Foods is loaded with them. In the construction industry, 1 in 5 are illegals. Textile mills in North Carolina went as far as to pass out fake Social Security cards and provide housing. Ya see a pattern here? Has anyone been prosecuted?
These are not just low-paying jobs that Americans won't do. Americans are being driven out by low pay. But guess what? There is a saturation point — Americans will discover their jobs may be next. Look at the savings for big business: instead of moving their factories to Mexico, they just bring the workers here. Ya think that is BS? 98% of all televisions sold in the U.S. are made in Mexico. You think there aren't Mexican electricians, pipefitters, plumbers, oil field workers, assemblers — and the list goes on and on. The unions had it right when they said NAFTA was a nightmare for the American worker. Their problem was they put their faith in the Democrats, who are just as guilty as the Republicans. Everyone's hands are dirty. We will be shoving all of this onto our children's backs. What are we thinking?
Will Americans wake up in time? Within the next 20 years, those not lucky enough to be in the upper echelon of corporate America will be no better than a third-world worker, getting the same pay as their Mexican counterparts. The great American middle class will dissipate into oblivion, and our culture will be diluted into a mass of multiculturalism.
Are we going to stay asleep at the wheel? Or are we going to fight for our jobs, our children, our country? Start by calling your congressman and senators and let them know: do the right thing — seal the borders, fine employers of illegal workers.
The fight starts now since half of the country has seen fit to put the most liberal politicians in the majority of our government, and that almost guarantees that some form of amnesty will be shoved down our throats. Somewhere, Americans must muster up some courage to fight on. I know you're sick of politics, and so am I. You must realize our enemies do not rest — whether they be foreign or domestic, and within our own government...

Voting Revolution
Wonder why we're in the shape we are in? You must do the research — don't listen to the mainstream media, they are in cahoots too. We've been sold a bill of goods, folks. Just take a look around at what is happening. Take those meatpacking jobs they say no one wants — well, guess why? The average wage of meatpacking employees used to be $19.00 an hour. Guess what they are now? $9.00. We have been asleep at the wheel. We have to turn this ship around. The Congress, the Senate, and the President have been exposed along with the news media, large corporations, and interest groups. This is the new world order they see — no borders, cheap wages, all dominated by corporate interest. It's time for a voting revolution.
This is not the guest worker program
It's the "Cheap Worker Program" for American Businesses and Unions
They used to take low-paying jobs working the agricultural fields of America. Then they slowly filtered into the landscaping businesses and then into the construction businesses, each step of the way either forcing companies to hire them in order to compete or go out of business — all the while lowering the wages in each occupation they move into. When is the last time you saw an Anglo-American working on a highway construction crew? Not any longer. They work cheap, and the state wipes their hands clean since they just contract the work out. The state gets a cheaper highway, the contractor pays less for wages, and the Americans that would have those jobs get screwed.
Been through the fast-food line lately? Guess who's there — that's right, that person who you have to tell three times what your order is and they still don't get it right is probably an illegal trying to communicate in an English-speaking environment. You say, "Well, those are low-paying jobs." Well, forget an entry-level job for your kid. And guess what — I saw an illegal plumber. $8.00 an hour is better than $85.00. Hey, Americans don't give a hoot if they are certified as long as they get it cheap. American manufacturers are salivating at the thought of $5.00 an hour labor. You think it can't happen? It already has — years ago. Take a major aircraft company in the Dallas area during the Vietnam era — went down to the Valley and hired them cheap, from what I've been told at $1.00 to $1.25 an hour.
Unions are preparing to shoot themselves in the foot. They see a chance to help their Democrat buddies they have aligned themselves with get back into office by supporting a soft immigration bill. They saw NAFTA as a threat, but somehow they have decided mass immigration is okay. Immigrants who come here have no allegiance to this country and sure don't have any allegiance toward a union. They wouldn't have a second thought about crossing a picket line. Illegals are now seeing it as taking over, and we had better get used to it.
Jobs taken over by illegal immigrants: dishwashers, cooks, landscaping, bricklaying, paint & drywall, framing, roofing, highway construction.
Who's next? Heavy equipment operators (already happening), plumbers (already happening), electricians (already happening), nursing, and any assembly-type jobs — all high-paying jobs with employers desperate to lower their cost.
You think not? Well, check and see what our local community colleges and major colleges are doing. Enrollment is up for illegal immigrants, and guess what — they get in-state tuition and even student loans guaranteed by, you guessed it, the American taxpayer. You may not be able to afford to send your kid to college, but you can sure afford the taxes to send an illegal to one.

Those Who Hire Illegal Aliens Cause Americans 9,125 Deaths Annually
By Frosty Wooldridge
August 14, 2006
NewsWithViews.com
Iowa’s United States Congressman Steve King told a crowd in Des Moines in June, “Illegal aliens cause the death of 25 American citizens every day…13 by drunken driving and 12 by stabbings or gun fire.”
That daily figure adds up to 9,125 deaths annually caused primarily by illegal alien Mexicans residing in America. Mike Rosen, radio talk show host in Denver, said it wasn’t significant when you consider our country of 300 million. A listener corrected him, “It’s not significant unless it’s your father or family member who gets killed.”
More sobering, almost eight times as many deaths of civilian Americans have occurred in our own country in three years than deaths to our soldiers in the Iraq and Afghanistan war zones. It’s safer in a war zone than on our own highways and in our own homes in America. At the same time, South Koreans are safer in their own homes with 37,000 American troops guarding their border from North Korea for the past 40 years--with our troops and tax dollars--than we are in our own country.
Why do Americans suffer this kind of carnage in their own nation? Who is to blame? Why would any American knowingly do this to his own country, to his own neighbors?
What can be done to stop it?
First, lay the blame directly on the shoulders of President George Walker Bush. Any man worth his salt after 9/11 would have sent troops to the borders and closed them to illegal entry on 9/12. For crying out loud! Three thousand innocent people died that day—specifically because of non immigration enforcement! Instead, for six years, Bush has done nothing to stem the flood of illegal aliens crossing our borders illegally. On the contrary, he’s encouraged terrorists to cross because they know Bush won’t stop them, drug smugglers because they know they can, and illegal aliens from all over the world. Peter Gadiel, who lost his son on 9/11, rails at Bush and Congress for not following through on their Constitutional duties. Another 3,000 relatives of all who died on 9/11 wonder why this president won’t secure America’s borders. Makes you wonder who will remain silent after the next “9/11 type” train bombing, subway bombing or other atrocity hits America. Those Muslims sit patiently inside our borders for their next chance.
If bank robbers know the police can’t or won’t arrest them, they tell their friends. Voila, more bank robbers! If a child molester knows he won’t be stopped, he preys on more victims. If an embezzler thinks he won’t get caught and doesn’t, he keeps at it. So it is with illegal aliens crossing our borders. They tell their friends and millions more pour into our country.
Second, lay the blame on CEOs running big companies like Tyson Chicken, Wal-Mart, Hormel for starters. Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas restaurants thrive on hiring illegals. You can include all your favorite fast food restaurants with happy meals to big whoppers as culprits in hiring illegals. How do we know? Over 20,000 million illegal aliens don’t sit around twiddling their thumbs.
In the past six years, Bush’s administration prosecuted less than 10 companies for hiring illegals. Thus, with no enforcement, more people break the law.
Third, lay the blame on small companies in hundreds of cities across America. Places like Denver and Boulder, Colorado offer sanctuary policies for illegals. Local companies hire illegals in front of Americans. Illegals work for cities, in fact, last week, while I stood at the capitol in Raleigh, North Carolina, illegal aliens worked for the city on the city streets.
Local contractors hire illegals for construction, painting, dry wall, landscaping, pool cleaning, dish washing, motel cleaning, car washes and everything else you can imagine.
Fourth, lay the blame on thousands of American citizens who hire illegals for gardening, house work and roofing. An added side note might interest you. It may be a rumor, but most Texans know that George Bush hired an illegal nanny while governor of Texas. Later, he pulled strings to make sure she was granted U.S. citizenship and she’s still in the White House with him today.
Fifth, lay the blame on the majority of Americans who say nothing, do nothing and don’t even bother to vote. A whopping 50 percent of eligible voters never vote in national elections. An astounding 80 to 90 percent of Americans don’t vote in local elections. Or, if they do vote, they vote the same senators and congressmen into office again and again.
In the meantime, 630,000 convicted illegal alien felons or a full 29 percent of our prisons are loaded with criminal illegals. They cost us $1.6 billion annually to keep them in three squares a day, exercise rooms, food and TV.
More Background On GunBarrelCityRadio.com
Part I: The Website — GunBarrelCityRadio.com
Origins and Identity
The website GunBarrelCityRadio.com, active circa 2006–2007, branded itself boldly as a platform delivering “NEWS FOR THE AVERAGE JOE” and “short, blunt—to-the-point” commentary with a deliberately folksy, unapologetic tone. Its editorial voice made no secret of its political stance: “IF YOU WANT TO BE CODDLED AND LIED TO GO TO A LIBERAL WEBSITE,” signaling a clear alignment with more conservative or populist viewpoints.
The site proclaimed a unique approach: “We use comedy for serious subjects, don’t think that we are not serious about the issues,” suggesting it blended humor with political discourse.
Content, Themes, and Tone
The content was colorful, confrontational, and opinionated. Recurring motifs centered on distrust of government, concern over illegal immigration, frustration with low-wage labor, skepticism of establishment politics, and demands for radical action. Several themes emerge:
-
Anti-establishment and anti-politician sentiment: The author frequently lambasted Congress and the Senate, asserting that “we have ever been had by the Congress and Senate—both sides of the aisle.”
-
Calls for sweeping action ("voting revolution"): In multiple posts, readers are urged to push for dramatic policy stances— "Secure our borders now — ‘No Amnesty’," “Win the war on terror,” “Revise Social Security,” and rejection of globalization or global warming narratives.
-
Controversial claims about illegal immigration: The tone intensifies with claims like Mexican restaurants buying homes to rent to undocumented immigrants, turning neighborhoods into overcrowded “illegals” havens—followed by tips suggesting citizens should oppose such practices to protect property values.
-
Economic threats and job competition: The site claimed illegal immigration was reducing wages in sectors like meatpacking—from $19 to $9 per hour—and hampering American workers across multiple industries.
-
Apocalyptic rhetoric concerning multiculturalism: One passage warned that the “great American middle class will dissipate,” leading to a diluted national culture unless Americans “wake up.”
-
Blaming multiple actors: From big corporations like Tyson and Wal-Mart, to churches, voters, and politicians, the site cast a wide net of blame for societal ills ranging from illegal immigration to declining wages and crime.
Goals, Audience, and Approach
Though explicit mission statements aren’t visible, the website’s tone, topics, and presentation make its goals clear:
-
Mobilize local, likely conservative-leaning readers who feel ignored or misrepresented by mainstream media and politics.
-
Encourage political engagement, particularly from those frustrated by immigration, job displacement, and perceived government inaction.
-
Use humor and blunt language to stand out—eschewing traditional journalism for opinionated commentary.
Its audience was presumably local to Gun Barrel City or nearby regions, though its style aimed for a broader “Average Joe” demographic—readers who appreciate bold, humorous takes on serious issues.
Review, Popularity, and Reception
Since the site appears archived and was active only around 2006–2007, there’s limited data to gauge its broader popularity or critical reception. There's no evidence it garnered mainstream press attention, nor received awards. It's likely a small-scale, independent effort with a localized or niche readership.
Ownership and Authors
No names or organizational affiliation are visible beyond the byline or tone (“Butch Moss,” possibly an alias or persona). There’s no clear ownership information; the author remains anonymous.
Cultural & Social Significance
In its time, GunBarrelCityRadio.com exemplified a strand of hyper-local, grassroots political commentary—blending outrage, satire, and direct address. It tapped into growing frustrations with globalization, immigration, and perceived government failures during the mid-2000s.
Though not a national influencer, it offers historians and culture-watchers a window into hyper-local digital commentary before the rise of pervasive social media—reflecting a moment where independent voices could carve out spaces online to rally like-minded locals.
Examples of Content
To illustrate the tone and substance of the site, here are distilled examples:
-
A plea to examine local Mexican restaurants, their staffing, employee living situations, and the impact on neighborhoods.
-
Economic panic: “American middle class will dissipate,” “98% of all televisions sold in the U.S. are made in Mexico,” unions undermined, wages plummet.
-
Summons for political action: “Start by calling your congressman and senators,” listing six criteria to evaluate candidates (immigration stance, war on terror, Social Security reform, global warming, etc.)—and urging voters to withdraw support if unmet.
-
A provocative statistic claiming “11 million illegals… cost $1.6 billion annually” to incarcerate—charging citizens hire illegals who drive up crime and costs.
Part II: Context — Gun Barrel City, Texas
To understand the website’s cultural terrain, it's useful to know about Gun Barrel City itself. Here's a summary drawn from reputable sources:
Location and Basic Geography
Gun Barrel City is a town in Henderson County, Texas, situated roughly 55 miles southeast of downtown Dallas on the eastern shore of Cedar Creek Lake, a reservoir that spurred its development. The 2020 population stood at 6,190, up from 5,672 in 2010.
Bounded by Mabank to the north and Cedar Creek Lake to the west, Gun Barrel City serves as a retail and recreational hub for a trade area surpassing 75,000 residents. The town's tax system features no property tax, making it an attractive residential and vacation spot.
History and Origin
The town was incorporated on May 26, 1969, shortly after Cedar Creek Lake's construction. Its name originates from Gun Barrel Lane, a road connecting Mabank and Payne Springs, reputedly named for its straightness (“like a gun barrel”) and used by local J. C. Waits.
The motto, “We Shoot Straight With You,” and branding (such as a rifle with crossed pistols) reflect both the road’s name and a blunt, honest image—mirroring, interestingly enough, the tone of the radio site.
Growing from an unincorporated community, Gun Barrel City gained municipal status to sell beer and wine legally, and has evolved into a retirement and leisure-oriented destination, particularly for lake homes and tourism.
Awards & Recognition
The community received second place, twice, in the Governor’s Community Achievement Awards; and in 2008, it achieved Certified Retirement Community status via the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Go Texan program.
Economy, Culture, and Civic Life
The economy thrives on tourism, lake recreation, and retail, especially boating and fishing along Cedar Creek Lake—the fourth-largest lake in Texas, drawing visitor numbers that more than double the local population during peak season.
The Economic Development Corporation (EDC) of Gun Barrel City, funded by a small sales tax, actively attracts businesses in manufacturing, hospitality, medical/health, and distribution—offering loans, infrastructure aid, and incentives to qualified firms.
Community Engagement & Infrastructure
The town hosts civic events like Parks Board meetings, Planning & Zoning meetings, and seasonal happenings connected to Lake life (though 2025 calendars show no current events listed).
Nearby Recreation & Amenities
Gun Barrel City Airpark, near the town and Cedar Creek Lake, offers a private aircraft destination with a paved 2,750-foot runway and courtesy lighting—but currently lacks fuel or maintenance services. Nearby, local restaurants like The Ranch House have won awards, such as “Best Mexican Food of Cedar Creek Lake.”
Annual events such as the KCKL ‘Big Bass’ fishing tournament and Thunder Over Cedar Creek (thunderous air show and music festival held July 4) draw large crowds—one air show in 2010 reportedly attracted nearly 40,000 spectators.
Demographics
As of 2020, the racial composition was about 83% non-Hispanic White, ~10% Hispanic or Latino, with smaller percentages of African American, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander, or mixed-race residents.
Median household income figures from the 2000 census were modest—$30,075 for households, $34,321 for families—with about 15% of the population below the poverty line, including 21.6% of those under 18.
Synthesizing Context: Website Meets Community
When we overlay knowledge of Gun Barrel City Radio with the background of Gun Barrel City itself, several insights emerge:
-
Shared blunt imagery and brand identity: The site’s tone—“short blunt to the point”—parallels the town’s motto: “We Shoot Straight With You.” Both evoke straightforwardness and unpretentious messaging.
-
Local resonance with lake-town culture: A town thriving on small-town values, distrust of overreach, and a laissez-faire charm—Gun Barrel City Radio’s messaging would likely have resonated with locals feeling the tension of cultural and economic shifts.
-
Timing matters: The mid-2000s were years of growing political polarization, immigrant anxieties, and economic concern—especially in small towns facing globalization and demographic changes. The website channeled these undercurrents.
-
No evidence of institutional connection: There's no indication the site was official or connected to any civic organization. Instead, it appears as an independent, perhaps one-person project, likely reflecting one segment of the local populace.
GunBarrelCityRadio.com stands as a raw, unapologetically opinionated snapshot of mid-2000s local commentary—infused with satire, grievance, and mobilizing rhetoric. Though ephemeral, it offers cultural historians valuable insight into how small-town voices used the web to carve identity and channel unrest.
Meanwhile, Gun Barrel City, Texas, embodies a growing lakeside town with a straightforward brand image, modest civic values, and regional charm. Its growth, tourism, economic strategies, and events underscore a community eager to develop while preserving a no-nonsense ethos.
Together, this layered portrait—website and town—captures a moment in time when digital expression and local identity intersected in compelling ways.
